The State Radio Monitoring Center (SRMC), formerly known as the State Radio Regulation Committee (SRRC), is the only agency in Mainland China that has been authorized to test and certify radio model approvals. At present, China has set specific frequency ranges for different types of radio transmitting equipment and not all of them are allowed to be used legally in China. In other words, all radio transmitting equipment sold or used in its territory may specify different frequencies. In addition, applicants must pay attention to the scope of some radio transmitting equipment. They must not only apply for "radio type approval and certification", but also must apply for CCC and / or MII approval.

The National Radio Monitoring Center is an institution directly under the Ministry of Information Industry of the People's Republic of China. It mainly undertakes radio monitoring and radio frequency spectrum management and is the supporting agency for radio management in China.

There are 10 offices, 1 national monitoring station, 8 national shortwave / satellite monitoring stations, 1 UHF monitoring station and 1 data backup center. The existing staff of 152 people, of which: 117 people in Beijing, Beijing 35 people, with bachelor degree or above 119, accounting for 79% of the total number of employees. The shortwave monitoring network in Beijing and its surrounding areas is stepping up its construction. The center also built a world-class radio equipment testing laboratory.

At present, the center is working hard to comprehensively improve its radio management support capabilities and make great efforts to make new contributions to the healthy development of China's radio industry.

Apply for SRRC institutions and other

At present, the application can be made through the National Radio Management Committee directly or through the formal institutions such as Yingli Testing. The certificate of application now is valid for five years. At the end of 2016, the State Council jointly released the penal regulations [1], making SRRC certification the same mandatory requirement as the CCC certification.
