ISO9001 quality system certification

The ISO9001 quality system certification has the following characteristics:

1. The object of certification is the supplier's quality system. The object of quality system certification is not a certain product or service of the enterprise, but the quality system itself. Of course, the quality system certification is bound to involve the products or services covered by the system. Some enterprises apply for the certification of the overall quality system including all kinds of products or services, while some apply for the certification of the quality system including only some or part of products (or services). Although the scope of products involved has a large and small, and the object of certification is the supplier's quality system.

2. Certification is based on quality assurance standards. The quality system certification is often required by the supplier to provide quality assurance, so the certification is based on the relevant quality assurance model standards. In order to make the quality system certification in line with the international practice to achieve mutual recognition, the supplier had better choose ISO9001:2008 standard.

3. The certification body is a third-party quality system evaluation body. In order to make the supplier quality system certification fair and reliable, the certification must be undertaken by a third party organization that has no economic interest or administrative subordination with the authenticated unit (the supplier). In addition to having experienced, well-trained personnel, qualified resources and procedures, the agency must also win the support of the government and the trust of the society with its excellent certification practices, and be authoritative and impartial.

4. The approved marks of authentication are registration and issuance of certificates. If the quality system applied for certification according to the prescribed procedures is judged to be qualified, the certification body shall register and issue a certificate to the certification enterprise, list it in the quality system certification enterprise list, and publish it publicly. Enterprises that have been approved for certification may use the registered mark in promotional materials, trade fairs and other promotional activities, but may not use the mark directly on the product or its packaging, in order to avoid confusion with product certification. The registered marks shall be protected by law and shall not be used or forged falsely.

5. Certification is an independent act of the enterprise. Product quality certification, can be divided into safety certification and quality certification two categories, safety certification is often a mandatory certification. The certification of quality system is mainly to improve the quality reputation of enterprises and expand sales volume. Generally, it is a voluntary and active application of enterprises, which belongs to the independent behavior of enterprises. However, enterprises that do not apply for certification are often forced to strive to enter the ranks of certification enterprises due to the pressure of distrust or trade barriers naturally formed in the market, but this is not the mandatory role of certification system or government decrees.
